Over the past year, we set the future course for the Sovereign Tech Agency and reaffirmed our mission. From launching the Sovereign Tech Fellowship, to investing in around 20 critical infrastructure technologies through the Sovereign Tech Fund, to speaking at the United Nations and the German parliament, to developing a toolkit for measuring impact… these are just a few highlights of many in 2024.
2025 is full of opportunities to work together to build and maintain digital infrastructure in the public interest. With several new positions open, we’re looking forward to expanding our team and developing new ways to achieve this mission. Join us!

Public Hearing in the German Parliament about Open Source
On 4 December 2024, the German parliament's digital committee convened a hearing on open source, to which Adriana Groh, CEO of the Sovereign Tech Agency, was invited to share her expert testimony and insights. Research and Policy Manager Paul Sharratt co-authored a paper, A toolkit for measuring the impact of public investments for open source software developmentbased on our practical learnings and reflections from the field.
